Violin and Violin Lessons for All

We set up a lesson time and basically meet once a week. The student (and parent if applicable) work at home to reinforce and master the assignments and skills assigned in the lesson. I offer several locations to have your lesson. Lessons are taught at my home near Hampden and Chambers, at the Oasis Center for Spiritual Living near I-25 and Arapahoe, and in Arvada at the Community in Christ Church on 80th Ave between Simms and Alkire.
I offer 1/2 hour, 45 minute and hour long lessons. Most beginners start with half hour lessons. As students advance, it benefits their progress to have a longer lesson and when it is appropriate, I will encourage students to take a longer lesson.
I am able to guide you in your selection of instrument and bow. I encourage you to speak with me before you purchase or rent a violin or viola outfit.
We have at least 4 recitals per year. Some recitals are solo performance and some we perform as a group. I encourage all students to participate in recitals, but participation is not required.
I have trained students who have played in Western States Honor Orchestra and All-State Orchestra. But, people take violin and viola lessons for various reasons. Some students are very involved in their work, academics, sports or other activities and are interested in violin or viola as more of a hobby. I can and have successfully taught both kinds of students.
